Wot a Carry On

Blackpool was the setting for the third (and thus far final) Carry On stage outing. The North Pier became host to another successful run of Carry On antics, which this time harked back to the original Carry On London - a collection of sketches and musical numbers themed around a 1940s revue company performing by the sea.

This time, Bernard Bresslaw and Barbara Windsor were the only members of the original team to take part. The revue, written by Barry Cryer and Dick Vosburgh was a return to the days of sauciness, and during it's limited run proved extremely popular with audiences.
